Mathematics Instructor

Job Summary:

The Middle School Mathematics Teacher is a key member of the Clayton County Public Schools team, responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to students in grades 6-8. This role requires a passionate and dedicated educator who can create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Learning: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and challenging mathematics education.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and self-discipline.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to measure student progress and understanding, using the results to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
• Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed, and collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
• Professional Development: Stay current with developments in mathematics education, attending professional development opportunities and participating in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Certification: Clear renewable certificate in Middle Grades Mathematics or eligibility for such certification.
