Job Title: Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our team at Behring Co. as we revolutionize the commercial real estate industry with our innovative full-stack real estate ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Core Platform Features: Architect and implement scalable software solutions for our platform, focusing on automation, real-time property management, and user-friendly interfaces for multifamily and coworking environments.
  • API Integration and Optimization: Build and maintain robust API integrations with third-party services such as property management systems, payment gateways, and communication tools, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Performance and Scalability Enhancements: Continuously monitor, analyze, and improve the performance of the platform, ensuring it can scale efficiently as user demand grows. Focus on optimizing system response times, database queries, and front-end loading speeds.
  • Database Management and Optimization: Design and manage database architecture, ensuring data integrity, security, and optimal performance. Implement strategies for efficient data storage, backup, and retrieval, focusing on both relational and non-relational databases.
  • Collaborative Feature Development: Work closely with the product management team to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Collaborate on user experience (UX) design to ensure high usability for customers using the platform.
  • Automation and DevOps: Develop automation tools for deployment pipelines, monitoring, and system health. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and rapid deployment of features and bug fixes.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for security, ensuring that user data is protected and the platform is compliant with relevant data protection regulations.
  • Code Review and Quality Assurance: Participate in regular code reviews, providing feedback to maintain high-quality code standards. Create and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing to ensure the platform remains reliable and bug-free.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Quickly identify and resolve system-level issues or bugs. Collaborate with the support team to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues in a timely manner.
  • Product Evolution: Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within the software engineering and proptech industries. Proactively suggest improvements or new features that can enhance platform functionality or user experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or other relevant technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
