Job Title: HSE Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Trainer to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. As an HSE Trainer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors.

Job Summary:

The HSE Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering safety training programs to new hires, staff, and contractors. You will work closely with our HSE Specialists and Operations team to ensure that all training is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to new hires, staff, and contractors
  • Work with HSE Specialists and Operations team to ensure training is up-to-date and compliant with industry standards
  • Generate and distribute training reports monthly or as needed
  • Maintain detailed record keeping (electronic and hard copy)
  • Coordinate with OQ & Training Manager for the scheduling and administration of employee training
  • Assist with Safety Training topics and organization
  • Assist safety managers & specialists on HSE department related issues
Requirements:
  • Prior experience preparing & presenting educational material
  • Preferred prior experience in safety and/or construction industry
  • Strong computer abilities with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Analyzes problems and makes sounds decisions in a timely manner based on HSE standards
  • Utilizes organizational skills with good attention to detail and emphasis on quality
  • Ability to speak to and engage audiences
  • Displays good written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills
  • Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel on site
