Job Title: Conveyor Belt Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
Continental is seeking a skilled Conveyor Belt Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a Conveyor Belt Maintenance Specialist, you will perform activities related to the maintenance, repair, and splicing of conveyor belts. This includes installing new conveyor belts, changing out existing conveyor belts, repairing or splicing of conveyor belts, pulley lagging, and changing of mechanical systems that transfer conveyor belts. You will work closely with the Crew Leader or Project Manager to ensure all aspects of the job are covered and that quality and satisfaction are achieved.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and splicing of conveyor belts in accordance with customer needs, company policies, state and federal regulations.
- Install new conveyor belts, change out existing conveyor belts, repair or splicing of conveyor belts, pulley lagging, and changing of mechanical systems that transfer conveyor belts.
- Follow instructions/leadership of Crew Leader or Project Manager to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as any hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task begins.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid any injuries and work areas are kept clean and free of hazards which may endanger the health and/or safety of any employees.
- Perform work according to instruction from Crew Leader/Project Manager to ensure quality and satisfaction is achieved.
- Inspect customers surrounding equipment to assure and help prevent costly repairs and damage to new material.

Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in conveyor belt maintenance preferred.
- Up to 2 years of mining experience preferred.
