Position Overview:

Our esteemed client is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Controls. This role focuses on RF/Wireless/Software/System leadership, particularly within the BLE Subsystem for both onboard and off-board systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected individual will serve as the principal engineer for various system interface functions and Electronic Control Units (ECUs) within the BLE Subsystem. Responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development and support of features, with a primary emphasis on the UWB keyfob functionality.
  • Overseeing the BLE/UWB/NFC subsystems, which consist of the central control module and an array of antennas utilized across multiple vehicle platforms.
  • Ensuring seamless communication between the BLEM/BUN and antennas through dedicated protocols, as well as facilitating smartphone interactions via BLE/UWB.
  • Collaborating with other ECUs in the vehicle to ensure integration and functionality.
  • Reviewing specifications to prevent conflicts with other features and confirming adherence to requirements through code reviews with suppliers.
  • Tracking the delivery of specific tasks and stories related to assigned features.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with Netcom requirements, Danlaw testing, EOL testing, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with vehicle Cyber Security, including cryptographic methods and system interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in system/ECU development for automotive OEMs or electronic control manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of automotive connectivity solutions such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Cellular technologies.
  • This position may require a hybrid work arrangement, with potential for full onsite presence.
