CCGC School provides an alternative classroom setting for Pre-K-8th grade students who struggle with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, as well as children who are unable to maintain safe and appropriate behaviors in a standard mainstream classroom. Our staff consists of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team made up of psychiatric, educational, clinical, and direct care professionals who provide a comprehensive approach to improving our students' mental and behavioral health, while also providing them with quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead school operations with vision and integrity, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Inspire and support school administrators, faculty, and staff to reach their full potential.
  • Strengthen community connections and streamline student assessments to empower success.
  • Evaluate staff meaningfully in alignment with state standards and promote professional growth through tailored development.
  • Build partnerships with colleges and universities to enhance learning with interns and student teachers.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on school growth, priorities, and opportunities.

Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years in special education administration with a proven record of success and innovation preferred.
  • Teaching Expertise: 5+ years as a full-time special education teacher in a public or accredited private school preferred.
  • Problem Solver: Skilled in program evaluation, creative problem-solving, and delivering impactful solutions.
  • Time Management: Certifications: Connecticut Special Education Certification (165) and Intermediate Supervisors Certification (092) required.
