Position Overview: This role entails delivering technical expertise related to the routine and moderately complex maintenance and repair of control systems and their components at various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical field engineering services to clients.
  • Identify and resolve issues pertaining to control systems and their components at client locations or in service facilities.
  • Provide after-hours support, both in-person and via phone.
  • Complete all necessary service documentation, including time tracking and expense reports.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training as required.
  • Prepare or oversee quotations for designated projects.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks for assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with shop managers, supervisors, and office staff to coordinate activities.
  • Ensure the availability and good condition of tools and equipment necessary for efficient work execution.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize appropriate safety gear as needed.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a related field, particularly in mining, metals, mills, or heavy industry.
  • Experience with PLCs and Drives is essential.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Relevant training from manufacturers is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
