Job Title: Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Stallant Health Crescent City. This role is crucial in addressing the oral healthcare needs of our medically underserved community.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients of all ages. They will also perform periodontal therapy, take and develop dental radiographs, and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct dental cleanings and oral examinations for patients of all ages.
  • Perform periodontal therapy, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays).
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good oral health.
  • Apply preventive materials to teeth, such as sealants and fluorides.
  • Assist in the management and treatment of oral health issues and diseases.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Current state Dental Hygienist license.
  • In-depth knowledge of dental health, oral hygiene, and periodontal care.
  • Proficiency in using dental charting systems and managing electronic health records.
  • Strong communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
  • Eagerness to work in a rural health setting and address the unique challenges of medically underserved populations.
