Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at NextEra Energy, Inc. in a key role supporting our fleet of Battery Energy Storage Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for the analysis, design, and implementation of complex electrical engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical guidelines and procedures for the operation and maintenance of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform root cause analysis of systemic failures and develop countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power electronics and battery systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and control systems.
  • Experience with BESS design, implementation, and operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Six-Sigma Green Belt or other quality control methodologies.
  • Formal training in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, or technical problem-solving.
  • Experience with construction and integration of BESS facilities.
