Job Title: Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex technical procedures in the laboratory information system, including phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, reporting, and storage.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures in the laboratory information system.
  • Collect, process, and store specimens for testing.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, supply upkeep, and quality control.
  • Deliver service excellence, One Team collaboration, and quality patient care.
  • Maintain a safe environment and follow established guidelines for disclosure of patient information.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field.
  • ASCP certification preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently, promoting a team environment.
Work Environment:

This position requires occasional bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing stairs. You will be exposed to chemicals, medications, and loud noises. You will also be required to wear personal protective equipment and follow established guidelines for disclosure of patient information.
