Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Center for World Languages and Cultures

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at the Center for World Languages and Cultures at the University of Denver. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching language courses to undergraduate students, developing curriculum, and contributing to the academic community.

Job Summary:

The Center for World Languages and Cultures is a vibrant and diverse community of language learners and instructors. We are committed to providing high-quality language instruction and cultural immersion experiences for our students. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a key role in shaping the language learning experience for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach language courses to undergraduate students, including grammar, reading, writing, and conversation
  • Develop and implement curriculum for language courses
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Contribute to the academic community through participation in departmental meetings and service on committees
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement language programs
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. language, linguistics, education)
  • Native or near-native fluency in the language to be taught
  • Experience teaching language courses to undergraduate students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Experience teaching language courses in a university setting
  • Strong background in language pedagogy and curriculum development
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
