Ice Cream Maker

We are seeking a skilled Ice Cream Maker to join our team at Bruster's Trussville. As an Ice Cream Maker, you will be responsible for ensuring our store is adequately stocked with a variety of frozen treats, including ice cream, yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, and Italian ice.

1. Produce high-quality ice cream, yogurt, sorbet, sherbet, and Italian ice according to Bruster's Real Ice Cream recipes and processes.
2. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards.
3. Operate and maintain ice cream making equipment, including cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
4. Complete daily flavor sheets and scoop ice cream as needed to meet customer demand.
5. Provide leadership and training to new team members as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in food or ice cream preparation is a plus. You should possess excellent verbal communication skills, math skills, and attention to detail.

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent lifting, standing, and walking. You must be able to maneuver in a tight and sometimes congested working environment and be able to work in extreme temperatures.

As an Ice Cream Maker at Bruster's Trussville, you will be exposed to chemicals used in cleaning, extreme cold temperatures, and hot water while cleaning and sanitizing tools and containers. You will also be working in a moderate to loud noise environment.
