We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Woman's Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily hospital security program operations, including security dispatch communications, security camera operations, and visitor control.
- Investigate and evaluate security situations reported to Security, using hospital-approved methods as required.
- Maintain knowledge of various department locations, buildings, access routes, and admitting requirements, working with hospital management to identify specific security needs.
- Monitor and respond to security alarms and incidents, using control panels and related security equipment to provide area and visitor surveillance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital management.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid LA license and excellent driving record required.
- Five years of experience in military, law enforcement, or security preferred.
- Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST) active certification preferred.
- Strong writing ability to record data, such as room numbers and/or names on lists.
This is a part-time position, working Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The hourly rate is $17.00, with an evening differential of $1.25/hour. Woman's Hospital is a best place to work, recognized for our innovative programs and exceptional patient care.
