Aquatic Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Aquatic Educator to join our team at the Keene Family YMCA. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swim lessons to members of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective swim lessons to members of all ages and skill levels.
• Develop and maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Assess and evaluate member progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive swim program.

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18.
• Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid.
• Current YMCA certified Swim Instructor/trainer, YMCA Water Safety instructor/trainer.
• Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.

Physical Demands:

• Hear noises and distress signals in the aquatic environment.
• Meet strength and lifting requirements.
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds alone and may request assistance to pull victims out of the pool.
