Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a qualified Truck Driver CDL A Home Weekly to join our team. As a Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination vehicle to transport goods and materials
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Load and unload freight, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate routes and schedules
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
  • Class A CDL with endorsements for Hazmat and Doubles/Triples
  • At least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check
