We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Family Health Centers of San Diego. As a Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric services to a diverse patient population, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. You will also provide consultation and support to primary care providers in integrated behavioral health sites.
Key Responsibilities- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain satisfactory peer reviews and assess medical information to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention
- Meet clinic site and organization needs in a reliable and flexible manner
- Provide comprehensive evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental illness, emotional disorders, and/or substance abuse
- Work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and communicate with providers, physicians, case managers, and outside agencies
- Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training
- DEA license
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and completion of a 3-year residency in General Psychiatry or current status as a 3rd year resident in a General Psychiatry program
- Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California
- 1 year experience working in Psychiatry preferred; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal interactions with clients and co-workers as a member of a multi-disciplinary community health team
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic groups
- Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment and to make a difference in the community every day. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing caring, high-quality mental health services to a diverse patient population.
We offer a generous compensation and benefits package, including a base salary range of $280,000 to $336,500.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
