Apartment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Camber Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the overall upkeep of our apartment community.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in building or apartment-related maintenance, with specialized courses in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry being highly preferred. In addition to technical skills, excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.
Below are some of the duties and responsibilities you may encounter as an Apartment Maintenance Specialist:
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections of the apartment community to identify and address any maintenance issues.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and property management staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including documenting repairs and maintenance tasks performed.
- Collaborate with the maintenance manager to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks to ensure efficient completion of all work.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels of tools and materials, and monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or understocking.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- HVAC certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of First Aid and Safety procedures
- Basic computer skills, with ability to create and close out work orders
- Previous building or apartment maintenance experience (specialized courses in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and carpentry a plus)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
