Job Overview

CNC Swiss Machining Specialist

***SIGN ON BONUS $750

Role Summary: Fabricate custom precision components by operating a multi-axis Swiss-style CNC machine. Uphold quality and safety standards while maintaining records and overseeing equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of multiple machines during the shift, ensuring parts are produced within specified tolerances.
  • Conduct inspections of precision products using various measuring tools and visual assessments.
  • Perform offset adjustments, sharpen, change, and modify tooling, and manage fluids.
  • Load bar feeders and measure bar stock accurately.
  • Verify materials to ensure compliance with blueprints and job specifications, demonstrating knowledge of various materials and their distinctions.
  • Maintain equipment by fulfilling preventive maintenance tasks and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with setup personnel, supervisors, and other shifts regarding quality and job progress.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating Swiss-style CNC machines or completion of a relevant apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to access programs, adjust tools, and possess a solid understanding of basic CNC machine operations.
  • Strong mathematical skills, along with effective verbal and written communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to interpret blueprints and GD&T.
  • Proficiency in reading precision gauges and ensuring visual accuracy.
  • Ability to produce high-quality precision work.

Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity (corrected) is required to read instructions and inspect precision machined parts closely to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary to operate machinery for precision tasks.
  • Physical capability to stand, bend, twist, and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
  • Strength to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently during the workday.
