The School-Based Supervising Clinician is a licensed mental health professional responsible for the supervision of clinicians and interns on clinical and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a trauma-responsive, culturally congruent stance on clinical care and be able to conduct client screenings, evaluations, and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school administration, teachers, and families to ensure quality mental health services.
- Provide oversight of clinical work for assigned clinicians and monitor their performance.
- Provide clinical supervision and coaching to clinical staff.
- Support the implementation of clinically appropriate treatment plans and documentation.
- Provide psychotherapy to clients and their families using individual, group, and family interventions.
- Promote integrated, person-centered care.
- Coordinate educational activities for school staff, parents, and the community.
- Support evaluation of program services to enhance client outcomes.
Requirements:
- Licensed (LCSW, LCSW-R, Ph.D, or Psy.D) with a current professional license in NYS.
- At least 4 years of clinical experience, including 3 years of supervisory and administrative experience.
- Relevant clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families.
- Knowledge of multiple modalities and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic health record systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
