Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Beacon Behavioral Hospital. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and documentation of total patient care, working closely with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Accurately report and record patient conditions, including signs and symptoms that may indicate a change in status.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate clinical/progress notes, incorporating them into the patient's clinical record on a regular basis.
  • Initiate and sustain the implementation of physician orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Complete and submit accurate and relevant clinical notes, participating in case conferences and other programs as needed.
  • Facilitate nursing psych-education groups, ensuring complete and timely documentation of each group facilitated.
  • Perform Nursing Health Screens for new admissions, communicating any issues or concerns with the physician.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Plan of Care, working collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Practical Nurse Licensure in the state of operation.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse, with experience in behavioral health care preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required (will be provided at company's cost if needed).
  • Certification in non-violent crisis intervention required (will be provided at company's cost if needed).
