Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mammography Technologist to join our team at UC Davis Health System. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our radiology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams using various types of equipment, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide excellent patient care, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for all patients.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain and operate equipment according to manufacturer's instructions and departmental protocols.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality imaging services.
Requirements
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR certification.
  • Valid CRT (M) CA Mammography State Certificate.
  • ARRT Mammography Certificate.
  • Good general understanding of basic mammography imaging and knowledge of radiology equipment, supplies, and drugs.
  • Ability to operate radiographic and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Physical ability to perform all functions of a mammography technologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and potentially hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients and equipment as needed, and must be able to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
