Job Summary

DCH Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled ER Nurse to join our team. As a travel ER Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the emergency department, prioritizing patients based on the severity of their condition.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and performing physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs and preferences.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, with a focus on trauma and critical care.
  • Valid ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required, with CPI and TNCC certifications preferred.
  • EMR experience required, with proficiency in Meditech Expanse.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
