Facility Details: Our center is equipped with one operating room and three treatment rooms, focusing on a variety of outpatient surgical procedures in the field of Gastroenterology. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, with some variability based on the surgical timetable, which may include early mornings and late evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care in accordance with the state Nursing Practice Act and established facility protocols.
- Utilize advanced nursing theories and practices to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Implement age-specific and universal safety measures while delivering routine nursing services.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, maintaining effective communication with the healthcare team to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Participate in ongoing education to expand knowledge and enhance patient care quality.
- Contribute to infection control measures and engage in quality improvement projects.
- Assist with additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Possess a valid nursing license in the state of Texas.
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (or willingness to obtain ACLS within six months of employment).
- CGRN board eligibility or certification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in endoscopy or ambulatory care is required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
Compliance with vaccination regulations is essential. Candidates must provide proof of vaccination or secure an exemption prior to starting employment. Those with exemptions will be subject to regular testing as mandated by law.
