Automotive Quality Assurance Specialist

As a key member of our team, reporting directly to the Lot Manager, this position plays a vital role in supporting Carvana's operations and clientele by conducting thorough assessments of vehicles for overall condition, wear, neglect, missing components, mechanical concerns, prior repairs, and any structural impairments.

Timely and precise completion of vehicle evaluations is essential, including capturing images and uploading findings regarding the vehicle's state. Engage with dealers and customers in a professional manner, representing Carvana and its various services effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain professional communication with customers (dealers or consumers).
Address customer inquiries with friendliness, courtesy, and professionalism; inform management of any complaints or incidents.
Ensure that both internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
Examine vehicles for indications of wear, neglect, damage, previous repairs, or structural issues.
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections while adhering to the established program requirements.
Accurately record data using mobile devices and demonstrate proficiency with software and technology.
Deliver results within designated timeframes.
Meet productivity expectations as established by management.
Provide consistent and precise inspections with minimal errors, in line with reasonable performance standards.
Collaborate with the Inspection Manager and sales team to address customer needs and provide insights for service enhancement.
Properly maintain tools and equipment, notifying management of any required maintenance or repairs.

Ensure vehicles are kept clean, with radios, seats, mirrors, and other amenities returned to their original positions upon arrival.

Submit completed condition reports utilizing the available technology for vehicle inspections.
Perform road tests as required by contract or inspection type.
Stay updated on technological advancements, new releases, and product developments.
Understand and effectively use tools such as paint meters and OBD scanners.
Continuously develop knowledge and expertise regarding competitor products.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Proven knowledge of motor vehicles is essential.
Basic computer proficiency is required.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a motor vehicle.
