Culinary Specialist

Starting Pay Range: $14-$17/Hour

Full Time/Part Time: Part Time and Full Time Available

Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends, including Sundays.

REQUIREMENTS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist team members as needed or as directed by the leadership team.

  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
  • Determine the quantity and type of food and supplies needed using production systems.
  • Ensure the availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in a timely manner for preparation.
  • Serve or ensure the proper serving of food.
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  • Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Store food properly and safely, marking the date and item.
  • Report necessary equipment repairs and maintenance to the supervisor.
  • Accurately prepare all food served following standard recipes and special dietary orders.
  • Plan food production to align with meal serving times to preserve excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food.
  • Portion food for serving.
  • Maintain daily production records.
  • Keep the work area neat and clean at all times.
  • Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
  • Conduct food temperature checks before service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Food handler's permit required prior to employment.
  • Completion of job safety training is necessary.
  • Must maintain proper grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards as per company policies and guidelines.
