We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Technician to join our team at PremiStar. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for programming, installing, and troubleshooting building automation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Program and install building automation systems, including boiler and chiller plants, custom AHUs, and rooftop units.
- Integrate systems with ancillary equipment and ensure seamless operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with building automation systems, including electrical circuits and wiring.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to discuss automation system malfunctions and resolve issues.
- Record and report faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.
- 3+ years of experience programming and installing building automation systems.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring, as well as operating principles of electrical devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written reference material.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and diagnose and resolve problems.
This role operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in various environments, including extreme cold or heat. Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
