Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Discover Recovery Treatment Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing optimal nursing care to our patients struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs, providing individualized care and support
  • Accurately administer and document medication administration, ensuring compliance with physician orders and facility policies
  • Collaborate with our medical providers, residential technicians, and clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Complete intake assessments and other required documentation efficiently and accurately
  • Provide medication management, patient education, and medication administration according to physician orders and facility policies
  • Follow physician orders for all detox protocols and document appropriately in the electronic health record
  • Adhere to program and nursing protocols, standards, policies, and procedures
  • Document information related to patients' care, including assessment results, vitals, test results, interventions, medications, patient responses, or treatment changes
  • Monitor, document, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions
  • Maintain all required charting and paperwork requirements as defined by the facility and regulatory agencies
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and with community resources, such as PCP coordination and pharmacy
  • Assist in training new residential technician staff on job duties and responsibilities, monitor job performance, and report performance issues to supervisor
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
  • Active WA State Registered Nursing License
  • Maintain clean driving record
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Negative TB test results within past year
  • Medical Clearance to work within past year
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Individual must be willing to work with a wide variety of symptoms related to substance abuse
  • Must have an understanding of and sensitivity toward working with multi-cultural populations, as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years medical experience as RN
  • 1+ Supervisory/management experience
  • Prior experience in detox/rehab/psychiatric environment recommended
