We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Discover Recovery Treatment Center. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing optimal nursing care to our patients struggling with substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor patient conditions and assess their needs, providing individualized care and support
- Accurately administer and document medication administration, ensuring compliance with physician orders and facility policies
- Collaborate with our medical providers, residential technicians, and clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination
- Complete intake assessments and other required documentation efficiently and accurately
- Provide medication management, patient education, and medication administration according to physician orders and facility policies
- Follow physician orders for all detox protocols and document appropriately in the electronic health record
- Adhere to program and nursing protocols, standards, policies, and procedures
- Document information related to patients' care, including assessment results, vitals, test results, interventions, medications, patient responses, or treatment changes
- Monitor, document, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Maintain all required charting and paperwork requirements as defined by the facility and regulatory agencies
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and with community resources, such as PCP coordination and pharmacy
- Assist in training new residential technician staff on job duties and responsibilities, monitor job performance, and report performance issues to supervisor
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Active WA State Registered Nursing License
- Maintain clean driving record
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Negative TB test results within past year
- Medical Clearance to work within past year
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Individual must be willing to work with a wide variety of symptoms related to substance abuse
- Must have an understanding of and sensitivity toward working with multi-cultural populations, as well as an understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity
- 1+ years medical experience as RN
- 1+ Supervisory/management experience
- Prior experience in detox/rehab/psychiatric environment recommended
