Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Assess and document patient conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments as required, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure seamless care, participating in special tests and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure efficient use of supplies and equipment, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Record and report pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments, ensuring a smooth transition between therapy and procedures.
  • Interview and recommend applicants for hire, participating in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff as needed.
  • Supervise the nursing unit, scheduling and directing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.
