Anesthesiologist Assistant Director

The Program Director for the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program at South University is a key leadership position responsible for the academic and administrative aspects of the program. This individual will oversee the development and implementation of the program's curriculum, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and provide guidance to faculty and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the program's curriculum, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the program, including supervision of faculty and staff.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and university policies.
- Collaborate with other academic program directors and department chairs to promote shared goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage the program's budget, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Recruit and retain high-quality faculty and staff, ensuring a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student success, including academic support services and career development opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to enhance the program's curriculum and operations.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as education, administration, or medicine.
- Experience in academic leadership, preferably in a university setting.
- Certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant by the NCCAA or its successor.
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with computerized administrative systems and standard office applications.
The Program Director will work in a fast-paced academic environment, collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to achieve program goals.
