Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Brookshires Grocery Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods to and from our retail stores and distribution facilities.

Responsibilities:

* Transport inbound and outbound freight to retail stores and distribution facilities
* Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations at all times
* Monitor the loading and unloading of pallets onto trucks to ensure proper count, accuracy, and safety
* Communicate with Dispatch Supervisors to receive/give notice of changes in delivery schedule
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and properly fill out trip sheets
* Complete pre and post-inspections of trucks and trailers and fill out inspection reports accordingly

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of related experience required
* Completion of vocational or technical school preferred
* Minimum of 25 years of age required
* Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) required
* Food Handler certification required
* Ability to frequently travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays
* Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
* Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time
* Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form
* Ability to reason, form concepts, and recognize and solve problems
* Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
* Ability to comprehend and interpret information

Physical Demands:
