Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating patient flow, assisting the doctor in preliminary testing, verifying medical and vision insurances, and effectively communicating with patients, doctors, and managers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, doctors, and managers
  • Facilitate patient flow and assist the doctor in preliminary testing
  • Verify medical and vision insurances
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One-year related experience and/or training
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred but not required
Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
