About This Role

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care team at University Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing safe, efficient, and age-specific nursing care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.
  • Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
  • Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Knowledge of nursing process and practice required.
    • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies.
  • Experience: 1 year of RN experience required. ICU experience strongly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or must be obtained during nursing orientation.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Adult and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.
