Position Overview:

We are in search of a committed Clinical Laboratory Technician to become a part of our team at Opelousas General Health System. In this role, you will be tasked with conducting blood collections, urinalysis, rapid testing, and specimen collection in various healthcare environments.

Primary Duties:
  • Welcome patients with a friendly demeanor and assist them with their inquiries
  • Clarify blood collection processes and address any patient concerns
  • Efficiently and safely perform blood draws from patients
  • Ensure a clean and hygienic workspace
  • Confirm patient details and accurately label specimens
  • Support in educating patients on correct sample collection methods
  • Work collaboratively with clinical personnel and adhere to their instructions
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Certification in Phlebotomy from a recognized national or state body is essential
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year in a similar role
