We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Florida Urology Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities:- Take medical histories and record vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients and preparing them for examination.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and document all information in patient charts.
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by physicians or physician assistants.
- Ensure all related reports, labs, and information are filed in patients' medical records prior to their appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient, physician, and pharmacy calls.
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants.
- Maintain all logs and required checks, such as refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, and cold sterilization fluid change.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
- Urology experience is desired but not required.
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology.
Please note that reliable transportation is needed as this position will rotate between our three offices in Hudson, Spring Hill, and Brooksville as needed.
