The Inventory Control Manager at Good Day Farm is responsible for overseeing the facility's inventory requirements, which encompass supply chain procurement, receiving processes, product packaging, and order fulfillment. This role is crucial in driving the facility's inventory initiatives, ensuring that product orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Establishes a comprehensive inventory tracking system to monitor incoming shipments and operational supply purchases.
- Builds and leads a team of inventory specialists, including roles in receiving, purchasing, fulfillment, and transportation.
- Conducts regular inventory cycle counts on both supplies and finished goods, performing analysis and reconciliation as necessary.
- Implements daily and weekly inventory audits to align physical inventory with internal tracking systems.
- Collaborates with operational teams to guarantee that weekly stock levels are maintained, organized, and updated.
- Manages internal inventory transfers to ensure quality control, regulatory compliance, and accurate physical counts.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of state regulations regarding medical marijuana.
- Develops an efficient order fulfillment process for receiving, scheduling, packing, and staging orders for distribution.
- Works closely with the sales team to ensure seamless execution of all incoming and outgoing orders.
- Facilitates inventory meetings to ensure that packaging supplies and finished products consistently meet market demand.
- Coordinates with accounts payable and compliance teams on any invoicing or order discrepancies that require investigation.
- Oversees all aspects of product packaging inventory, including ordering, auditing, and forecasting.
- Minimizes losses through effective ordering practices and waste identification.
- Trains both new and existing staff on essential job functions.
- Manages employee attendance and performance evaluations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
- Effective and professional communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates strong ethics and reliability.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Two to four years of relevant experience.
- Experience with data entry software (e.g., Excel) and willingness to learn new software.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to fifty pounds regularly, respond quickly to sounds, navigate uneven terrain, and wear personal protective equipment as needed.
