As a Packer at Smurfit Westrock, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately and efficiently filling orders. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Verify pharmaceutical orders meet shipping accuracy and customer satisfaction guidelines
• Ensure all documentation is legible and accurate
• Attach samples to shipping containers as required by customer specifications
• Customize cartons/skids for customer-specific needs
• Apply labels to finished rolls and packs in appropriate shipping containers
• Skid pack items for shipment
• Operate fork trucks and skid wrappers as needed
Requirements:
• High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
• Six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred
• Fork lift license required
• Ability to read and write instructions and correspondences
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must pass a basic reading test, color vision test, and color hue test
• Must be able to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience
• Strong mathematical skills and basic computer skills required
• Good communication skills and ability to maintain good attendance
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including weekends
