About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Field Enumerator to join our team at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture. As a Field Enumerator, you will play a crucial role in collecting and maintaining accurate and reliable agricultural data for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses to gather data on crop yields, farm operations, and other relevant information.
  • Travel to designated fields to perform crop counts and gather data on farm operations.
  • Maintain detailed and legible records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
  • Represent the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Requirements
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented work environment with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to represent the organization in a professional manner.
  • Ability to make crop counts in designated fields and maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Knowledge of computers or iPads and ability to use software applications to collect and maintain data.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position that may require some evenings, weekends, and holidays. The work schedule will be flexible and may be affected by weather, seasonal farm responsibilities, and community functions.
