Pediatric Nurse Specialist

As a Registered Nurse in Same Day Pediatrics at Boys Town, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients from across the region. This position requires a systematic approach to nursing practice, incorporating assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Key responsibilities include providing individualized care to ill patients, prioritizing care based on needs, and implementing nursing care to address patient needs. You will also provide teaching that is specific to the patient's health issues, based on cultural, cognitive, emotional, and social influences, and facilitate patient flow by continually assessing patient volume and acuity.
Additional responsibilities include collecting and documenting assessments related to the patient's physical and developmental needs, implementing nursing care activities according to patient needs, and collecting specimens and performing select lab tests to facilitate diagnosis.
Requirements for this position include a registered nurse with a current state license, a minimum of one year of experience in pediatric ambulatory care, and BLS certification.
