We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Counselor to join our team at Maxdale Elementary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers to promote academic, personal, and social development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program to meet the needs of students, parents, and teachers.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as academic achievement, personal growth, and social relationships.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to parents and guardians on issues related to student development and well-being.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and organizations to provide resources and support to students and families.
- Masters degree in School Counseling or related field.
- Two years of teaching experience.
- Counseling certificate.
The School Counselor will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to promote a positive and supportive learning environment.
The School Counselor will be required to work a standard school day, with occasional evening and weekend events. The position requires the ability to lift up to 15 pounds and to stand for prolonged periods.
