The Communication Arts Program within the School of Media and Design is seeking dedicated full-time educators to serve as either an Instructor or Assistant Professor of Practice in the field of Multimedia Journalism. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a collaborative atmosphere that encourages creativity and innovation, aimed at cultivating the next generation of journalists through both traditional and modern multimedia storytelling techniques.

  • Engage in the development of curriculum and enhancement of the program.
  • Create comprehensive course outlines and deliver captivating lectures.
  • Guide students in various facets of multimedia journalism.
  • Oversee the university's online newspaper and associated media initiatives.
  • Conduct scholarly research and contribute to publications.
  • Provide service to the department, university, and broader community.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: The qualifications of finalists will determine the rank as either Instructor or Assistant Professor of Practice.

  • Significant industry experience.
  • Commitment to teaching a diverse student body.

Work Hours: Standard for full-time faculty.

Physical Requirements: Typical for faculty in this discipline.
