Position Overview:
As an Automotive Service Specialist at Goodyear, you will be tasked with professionally assessing, diagnosing, and repairing tires and performing automotive services, all while ensuring an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct line technician services, routine inspections, and maintenance, utilizing diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve automotive issues.
- Perform diagnostics on brake systems, exhaust systems, fuel ignition, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems, including road tests for accurate diagnosis and service recommendations.
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to confirm mechanical integrity and identify any additional concerns.
- Commit to learning new technologies within the fast-paced automotive industry.
- Provide exceptional customer service, which includes clear communication and feedback regarding customer vehicles.
- Guide and mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
- Document all services performed on repair orders.
- Immediately report any safety concerns to management.
- Foster teamwork to ensure timely and accurate customer care during all operating hours.
- Adhere strictly to company policies regarding vehicle care and operation.
- Engage in various manual tasks for extended periods, which may involve lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive diagnostics, problem-solving, and repairs.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- No relocation assistance is available for this position.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- ASE Certifications.
- Experience with exhaust systems, fuel ignition, electrical systems, air conditioning, computer systems, and power-train management systems.
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated to achieve results with minimal oversight.
- Diligent worker, demonstrating responsibility, dependability, and effective communication.
- Aptitude for reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting information to identify problems and make informed decisions.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow established procedures and guidelines.
- Commitment to adhering to established safety policies and procedures.
