As a Full-time Onsite Account Representative at Fastenal, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. This role requires a high level of customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Work directly with multiple customer contacts to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
- Receive, inspect, and stage products for delivery
- Purchase and manage inventory, including quoting and sourcing
- Develop and execute sales plans to meet business goals
- Communicate business statistics and progress to management
- Develop and implement continuous improvement programs
- Maintain cost savings programs and create a unique environment of program offerings
- Handle day-to-day customer needs
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements
- Degree in Business/Marketing or equivalent industry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
- Strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
- Problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in Strategic/Key account or National Account sales
- Prior vending and implementation experience
- Knowledge and experience using Timeline software
- Prior process mapping and DMAIC experience
- Experience speaking and presenting to groups of people
