CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Operator to join our team at Conn Selmer Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, ensuring the highest quality instruments are produced for musicians of all skill levels.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality instruments.
- Inspect assigned work to ensure compliance with established job standards.
- Properly handle all instruments and components to prevent damage.
- Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Retrieve and adapt programming to execute various job programs on the CNC.
- Verify all dimensions with plug gauges and mics to ensure proper finish.
- Set up drills, turning tools, and other tooling as required.
- Load and unload machines/bar feeders with raw material and execute all prescribed machine procedures.
- Maintain accurate specifications for each assigned operation.
- Utilize correct safety protection and protocol for each assigned operation.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Manufacturing process aptitude.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to make sound judgments based on consistent and objective measures.
- Regular attendance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to move assigned quantities of parts or raw material.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and measuring devices.
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment, including dust, noise, and vibration.
