About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Sentara RMH Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse on our Behavioral Health Unit, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises and/or withdrawal from substances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of diagnoses, including depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, and drug and alcohol detox.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients and their families.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
Requirements
  • RN licensure to work in Virginia
  • Nursing diploma (ADN, BSN, or MSN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 1 year of hire)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 1 year of hire)
