Job Summary

Kable Staffing is seeking a skilled Plasma Operator to join our team in a full-time temp to hire opportunity. As a Plasma Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating plasma cutting machines to cut metal materials according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate plasma cutting machines to cut metal materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Material Preparation: Select and prepare metal sheets for cutting, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Inspection: Perform routine maintenance on plasma cutting equipment to ensure its proper functioning and inspect cut pieces for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and maintain records of job orders, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Plasma Operator or in a related role.
  • Skills: Knowledge of plasma cutting machines and metal fabrication processes, understanding of safety protocols and procedures in a metalworking environment, strong attention to detail and accuracy in work, ability to interpret project specifications and drawings, physical stamina and strength for manual material handling, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
