Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role will involve working with a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of experience required.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Prior work with a digital Multimeter (CMMS/DMM) required.
• Experience with boilers, HVAC, water systems, air compressors, electric schematics, nice to have.
• Prior experience in Food & beverage, Pharmaceuticals, or Medical Devices, nice to have.

Skills:

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Team player and detail-oriented.
• Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Work Environment:

This role will be based in Irvine, CA and will require working on the Irvine, CA campus. The work schedule will be first shift, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. No travel will be required for this role.
