Locations: This position will support multiple apartment communities in the Corvallis and Albany region.
Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This position will be part of a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergencies.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Compensation Package:
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $22.00
- Monthly phone allowance of $50.00
- Monthly transportation allowance of $200.00
- Renewal commission opportunities - amount varies

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of common areas, fixtures, plumbing, appliances, and pools/hot tubs (if applicable)
- Ensure preventative repairs are done on a regular basis
- Complete apartment turnovers within three days of vacancy
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with sustaining inventory of tools, supplies, and materials
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with organizing and maintaining an orderly maintenance shop and storage areas
- Be on-call for after-hour maintenance emergencies on a rotating schedule, and respond immediately
- Complete repairs that may involve electrical, plumbing, appliances, or general carpentry
- Maintain pool/spa (if applicable)
Requirements:
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- 1+ years of experience in multi-family maintenance
- Possess your own hand tools
- General knowledge of various maintenance functions, including groundskeeping and snow removal, painting, appliance repair, caulking, minor electrical, minor plumbing, pool maintenance (if applicable), HVAC, obtaining bids from vendors, ordering inventory
- Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multi-task, resolve conflicts, engage in cost/benefit analytical decision-making, and ambition for continuous professional development
Work Environment:
- Approximately 90% inspecting property grounds, including apartments, building structure, landscaping, and signage, which may require the ability to climb stairs, scaffolds, ladders, and maneuver walkways
- Approximately 10% in office environment using computer or tablet and phone
- Frequent lifting, pushing, carrying or pulling of 20-50 pounds
- Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, and reaching to inspect appliances and fixtures
- May be required to work weekends
