Oncology Nurse Specialist

Our team at City of Hope is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Oncology Infusion Clinic, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients while assisting them through their treatment journey, offering emotional support and education.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assess patients' health status and develop personalized care plans
* Administer chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patients' vital signs and symptoms
* Provide education and support to patients and their families, coordinating care and follow-up appointments
* Manage side effects and complications from cancer treatment, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education programs

Requirements:

* Associate degree in nursing, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing highly preferred
* 0-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in oncology and chemotherapy administration
* Currently valid California Registered Nurse license and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
* ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with EPIC preferred
