The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Communications and Signal Processing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Communications and Signal Analysis Department, you will be responsible for supporting the development, integration, and testing of advanced communication and signal processing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Support the proof-of-concept, development, and acquisition of advanced communications and signal collection / processing systems
- Initiate, lead, and perform technical studies, including coordination of tasking, leading of teams, and interfacing with multiple stakeholders
- Support our Civil, DoD, and intelligence community customers with primary support to the National Reconnaissance Office
- Act as the organization's designated representative at technical meetings, presentations, and symposia
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Eight or more years of related experience in advanced communications and signal processing, including modeling and simulation, hardware implementation effects and imperfections, modulation and coding, link performance, and digital signal processing
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
- Knowledge of customer mission areas and asset(s)
- Experience in satellite communications and SIGINT
- Demonstrated strong analytical and team leadership skills
- Experience using MATLAB, Python, C++ or additional tools, including within a Linux environment
