Packaging Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team at QPS Employment Group. As a Packaging Specialist, you will be responsible for packaging products according to standard operating procedure, work process, and batch record specifications in preparation for shipping. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Package products according to standard operating procedure, work process, and batch record specifications in preparation for shipping
  • Assemble components, load machines, construct / label boxes, palletize material, maneuver pallets using a pallet jack, and perform product changeover duties
  • Ensure quality compliance of the products being packed by inspecting for defects such as legible and accurate codes, effective seals, appropriate quantity, etc.
  • Remove defective product into the proper location for rework or disposal
  • Alerts appropriate personnel to any potential quality issues discovered and stops the line as needed
  • Rotate through all packing functions and perform at expected levels
  • Complete cleaning functions
  • Follow company and facility safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Handle hazardous materials using appropriate or mandatory safety gear
  • Complete required cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and/or other paperwork

Packaging Specialist Requirements:

  • TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) requirements met at approved grade level for position
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Able to follow instructions and respond to management direction
  • Able to work independently and/or part of a team
  • Able to adapt to changing work environments
  • Able to work overtime or weekends as needed
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs
